Carbuncle is a summoner's best friend 8| my Carby is a bit spazztastic but I love him anyway. He alerts me to predators usually in a more helpful manner.

I dont know where to put this..totally not your usually work by me. I didnt know really whether or not if this constituted as fan art or like..an original character..Im trying to be different and get over my fear of posting different things. Im sure you guys like to feel more well rounded also.

My buddies on FFXI keep pushing me to draw more artwork. So Im trying to find that comfortableness. Want to see what the DA population thinks.

Open Canvas drawing of my character Daus and Carbuncle from Final Fantasy XI. Yes, I use a tablet. I did not draw the background. Its an ingame screenshot of an area called Caedarva Mire (aka I-hate-that-stupid-zone) and then I got on Altana Viewer for the imp and tacked him on there using Photoshop.

Generally not a fan of anime/fanart related crap ... but the style and execution of this is utterly impossible to resist. Love the earthy tones and flawlessly rendered expressions!

Im not usually either, sometimes I wish I could do more fanart because then it'd be something different for me and of something I liked. I see alot of WoW fanart, not enough FFXI players! /represent

Hope I dont come off as anime-esque but at the same time atleast it isnt disney^^

Absolutely no problem, my point is, at least here, there is visible artistic and technical talent. Without the textual description, I couldn't have discerned the difference myself.

Really, you should post more!! This is fantastic! Who cares if it's fan art... you characterized them both SO MUCH they are like... YOUR OWN. You know what I mean? It really is lovely!! I love carbuncles expression, and yours too, and how you two are interacting. The colors are lovely, and really remind me of Cadaver too >.> (I hate that place too...)
